D & D Custom Homes, LLC was founded by Dave Tucker in 2003 after over 20 years experience in the industry. Since its inception, D&D Custom Homes, has consistently grown and established an excellent reputation.

What kind of actual homebuilding experience do you have?

Dave Tucker has been in the home building industry for most of his life. Prior to founding D&D Custom Homes, Dave was employed in both sales and management in the lumber and building material industry. During this time, Dave was able to work with both large and small builders to learn the industry, as well as learn of all the new products and procedures that continue to revolutionize the Industry.

Who supervises your construction?

Although D&D Custom Homes Homes has great sub-contractors, each and every job is personally supervised by Dave or a member of his staff.

Our subcontractors have worked with us for several years, some since the founding of the company.

D & D Custom Homes was founded here in the Mid-South, and its headquarters will always remain here in the Mid-South.

D & D Custom Homes maintains the flexibility necessary for you to personalize your home to fit your individual needs and lifestyle. Your new home should reflect your personality, not someone else’s.

How long does it take to build a home?

From the time of contract, it usually takes 3-4 months to build your new home.

Do you have a permanent location, such as a model home?

D & D Custom Homes has an office located at 1880 S. Old Hwy 51 Suite B, in Brighton, TN 38011. We also maintain a model home in Hunters Hollow Subdivision in Brighton, TN. D & D Custom Homes also employs a professional sales staff to take you from contract to closing.

D & D Custom Homes has a great relationship with banks, mortgage companies, and suppliers.

Do you have a clear, written warranty program?
|
|
|
Every D&D Custom home is warranted by our One Year New Home Warranty Service Program issued through the Memphis Area Home Builders Association. Each new home includes 1-year workmanship and materials warranty. Warranty issues may be reported at any time by using the online warranty reporting form on our web site.

Do you use any prefabricated materials?
|
|
|
While it is cheaper to use prefabricated materials, we feel it takes away from the overall quality of a home. Every D & D Custom Home is custom built on site by professional subcontractors.

Besides being 100% committed to building Energy Star rated homes, I have found that builders can be grouped into two categories: a small custom builder, or a large production builder. D&D Custom Homes combines characteristics of both to create a truly unique company.
