At D & D Custom Homes we believe that building a new home is very personal decision. Dave Tucker, the founder and sole owner of D & D Custom Homes began building new homes in 1999 and founded the company in 2003. Dave believed there was a need in the market for a home builder that would listen to what the client had to say, and communicate with the buyer throughout the process to allow them (the buyer) to get their new home built with the features and specifications they desired.
From the very beginning we have made every effort to communicate with our customers to give them their new home built to the specifications they they desire, not to the specs of someone looking at a bunch of numbers from behind a desk. Although we have several standard plans that we are currently building, we will gladly build any plan you desire on either your lot or one of ours. We currently have lots available in Hunters Hollow in Brighton, Happy Valley in Munford, and Reed Estates in Munford. We also have larger lots available for your plan or ours. In Tipton County, TN we offer Harben Estates (2-5 Acre Lots), Gladney Estates (5 Acre Lots on Kelly Corner), and in Fayette County we proudly offer Aston Park (1-5 Acre Lots in Eads, TN)
We will work with you to modify not only our plans but any plan you may have. There are none that cannot be altered to fit your needs. The only limitation is your imagination. This allows us to offer you much more flexibility than a traditional "tract" builder with limited options. Dave and his staff are on every job daily throughout the construction process to insure that the home is not only built correctly, but on time and on budget as well. At D & D Custom Homes we have designed a system to make the process from planning a new custom home through project completion a smooth and controlled process that will allow you to participate as much or as little as you desire. In a nutshell the process is broken down as follows:
1) Planning
This would include items such as choosing your floor plan, lot location, specifications, budgeting, cost, etc…
2) Financing
This would include purchasing the building lot, obtaining construction, and permanent financing (if needed).
3) Selections
This includes making the actual selections of the materials to build your new home. Several selections may have already been completed in the planning phase.
4) Construction
This phase typically takes 90-180 days depending on both the weather and the complexity of the project.
5) Completion
Upon completion you will receive a new home orientation and we will walk through your new home to familiarize you with the operating features and maintenance required.
Although this is a very brief explanation of the process to construct your new custom home, we are here to help you along the way.
